Education Concern Society after formation, started its first Unit, a Special School which was named “PHOOLWARI”. This special school was started on April, 15th, 2013 with a vision to provide need based education to Persons with Special Needs, Empower their Family and Sensitise the Community.
Phoolwari was started with four students in a rented building in Vikas Nagar, Rohtak. The focus was to provide quality services to persons with special needs. Society made available all essential infrastructural and therapeutic equipments/ facilities. Qualified Special Educators and Therapists were appointed. To start with persons having Hearing Impairment (HI), Learning Disability (LD), Slow learners (SL), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) etc. were preferred for admission to Phoolwari. Education Concern Society decided to allow admission to Persons having Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) viz Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Multiple Disability (MD) etc from July, 2016.
Consistent focus on qualitative services resulted in excellent/ very good results in special needs students which further resulted into promoting of such students to mainstream schools every year.
The Society on March 13th, 2025, decided to dedicate the school name in fond memory of its student Gudden Garg who left this world for heavenly abode on Feb. 27th, 2025. The name of Phoolwari changed to “Gudden Garg Memorial Phoolwari Special School”.

Activities:-

Education :-

Education Concern believes in providing need based education to Persons with Special Needs. Since Persons with Special Needs are having either Hearing Impairment, Learning Disability, Slow Learning. Attention Deficit, Hyperactive Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism etc, hence Education Concern provides need based education through its school named PHOOLWARI where professionals having qualification in the field of Special Education and having rich and ample experience are catering to the needs of Persons with Special Needs.

Speech and Language Therapy :-

Education Concern is providing the specialized facility of Speech & Language Therapy at its school PHOOLWARI where professionally qualified therapists are catering to the speech and language therapy needs of Persons with Special Needs.

Physio-Occupational Therapy :-

Education Concern is also providing specialised facility of Physio-Occupational therapy at its school PHOOLWARI where persons with special needs having motor/ muscular impairments are catered. This facilitates overcoming their mobility related difficulties

Sports Activities :-
Education Concern is providing facilities for training in activities of sports for Persons with Special needs at its school PHOOLWARI where training in appropriate sport for Persons with Special needs is given. Arrangements have also been done to provide opportunity for them to participate and compete at State, National and International level for these sports.

Dance-Music :-

Education Concern has recognizes the fact that Music/ Dance act as a therapy and provide benefits to Persons with Special Needs and so facilities have been provided to train Persons with Special Needs in these activities at its school PHOOLWARI. This activity not only has therapeutic use but also provides benefit related to motor, social and emotional development.

Art & Crafts :-

Education Concern helps persons with Special Needs in nurturing skills of Arts and Craft works at its school PHOOLWARI. Persons with Special Needs are provided training to develop these skills which helps them in attaining independence in day to day activities.

Parents Empowerment :-

Education Concern believes in empowering parents and family members to enable them to help their ward to develop and cope up with challenges of the life. To facilitate empowerment Education Concern has developed programme at its school PHOOLWARI and also organizes such programme from time to time.

Awareness Generation :-

Education Concern realizes its responsibility towards society and so has decided to organize awareness programmes to sensitize people at large to help them to become sensitive towards needs of persons with Special Needs. Such awareness is generated by organizing special programmes.
